Still Life- Medium Format

Still Life- Medium Format Induction

In this workshop we had an induction the studio. We first had a lecture on Aperture, Shutter speed and ISO. We were then taught how to use a light meter, and how to set up a studio safely. Next we had an induction to two different medium format cameras, the Mamiya RZ67 and the Bronika, we were shown how to load film into both of the cameras and how to set up the cameras so they’re ready to be used.
We worked in pairs and were given an object to photograph, for us it was a wire brush. First we loaded the Mamiya RZ67 with Ilford Delta 100 ISO film, and then began to position the object to how we wanted it, we then used the light meter to get the correct exposure reading. For each photo we changed the aperture and/or shutter speed so we could see how they effect the photograph.
